Brief:
To create a leaflet for visitors to Derby Arboretum, including a map of the park and all of its amenities, using Derby Parks branding.
Process:
To create this leaflet I first began by constructing the map of the park using Google Maps and illustrating a to-scale map including footpaths and amenities. To annotate the map, I created illustrations for each activity and facility as indicators.
As I knew imagery would be an important aspect of the leaflet, I set myself a photography brief, and captured photos of the park that would illustrate each aspect I needed to highlight in the leaflet.
I made use of the gradient green background as a means to carry through the Derby Parks branding and used various photos of the park to break up heavy text.
