Inspired by Art Deco travel posters advertising holiday destinations I created this postcard of Derby.
For this design I engaged the principles of bold, geometric shapes, high contrasting colours, and use of vertical lines, all of which are typical of the art deco style.
I chose to illustrate this iconic Derby building as this classical architecture represents the city as I see it, and paired with Art Deco stylisation gives a sense of luxury.
